Sitting Room
The sitting room in Stalker's Cottage has a superb open stone fireplace and is comfortably furnished with a 3-seater settee, an armchair, and a foot-stool. There is a combined TV and video recorder, together with a DVD Player and Sky digi-box.
The Sky digi-box receives the subscription-free (i.e. free-to-air) channels. N.B. On account of the comparatively remote location of the cottage, reception of a terrestrial signal is not satisfactory and the TV therefore receives satellite channels only. However, this results in a much wider choice of channels than would be available via a normal TV aerial.
Apart from the open fire (for which an initial supply of fuel is provided), heating is provided by a timed Dimplex electric radiator. Additionally, the Rayburn in the kitchen area provides steady background heating.
